Building improvements campaign

Christ Church Stamford is at a n exciting phase of its growth & development.  Having served its immediate parish & the Stamford community at large, our building is at a point where it requires refurbishing, renovating & replacement of equipment that are no longer fit for purpose.  As a congregation, we are reaching out to you dear friends, colleagues, & neighbours and well-wishers to join in with us in the venture at this time.  This Building Improvement Campaign would happen in 3 phases:

Phase 1:

Replacement of old boilers with new ones & old stairlift & hand rail that leads down into the basement with new ones.  Our old boilers were condemned in  February 2025 and we require £20,000 to have them replaced with new ones.  Also, we had a quinquennial inspection for the building in January this year and we have been asked, as a matter of urgency, to replace the stairlift & hand rail to improve access to the basement.  This would cost another £20,000 bringing the total required for this phase to £40,000.

Phase 2:

Refurbishing the foyer & porch area to make the building more welcoming.

Phase 3:

Tidying up of the garden spaces & conversion of the shed to increase storage and/or create meeting space.

Fundraising would would happen in these 3 phases and as such, Phase 1 is the most important for now.  We have raised, currently, £30,000 and are looking for £8,700 to complete Phase 1.
