Staff and Leadership

Please find below an introduction to our church leaders and members of staff.
 

Rev Anthony Laotan		Nigel Garwood - Warden
Anthony joined the Christ Church family as Vicar in the Summer of July 2020. He is passionate in representing Jesus to the culture in the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.  He enjoys making deep spiritual stuff simple, accessible, and applicable to all people of all ages. Anthony loves family time, chatting about God-stuff, reading, football and Chinese takeaways.		Nigel has been a warden and on Diocesan Synod for a long time and worshipping here for even longer.  He oversees the smooth running of the toilets and the AV of the church.  In his spare time he enjoys messing about with anything technical and walking the dog.  Nigel is always ready to connect you to the internet.
Dawn Field - Warden		Lisa Garwood - Administrator and Treasurer
Dawn is one of our church wardens and has been part of the Christ Church family for over 20 years.  She enjoys walking and spending time with her family.		Lisa has been on the staff team since 2016 but has been worshipping here for longer.  She oversees the smooth running of the office and the finances of the church.  In her spare time she enjoys the cinema and live theatre, reading and crochet.  Always ready for a good chat, even more so if it involves coffee and cake.
Laura Mitchell - Ministry and Mission Associate
Laura has been involved in the ministry team at Christ Church in various ways over the years, but her real passion is for community outreach, helping local people connect with each other and with God in creative and accessible ways. Her current role involves overseeing the Pop-Up Cafe and developing our garden space.  When not pottering in the garden or chatting to her neighbours, she can be found trying to keep up (or keep the peace) with her two small children, trying to escape for a swim or a bike ride and spending time with friends.
