Our coffee mornings at Christ Church Stamford take place on the first Saturday of every month from 10am until 12noon. Coffee mornings are part of a great British tradition and we use our coffee mornings as a chance for the local community to drop in and join us for coffee and a natter.
We serve fresh tea and coffee alongside cakes that are often homemade, but always delicious and plentiful. Our tea and coffee refills are available throughout the morning and you can have as many cups as you would like.
We find that our coffee mornings in Stamford are a really nice place for people to relax, meet new people and make new friends while enjoying delicious treats, chat and laughter and a warm welcome will always await you at Christ Church.
There will sometimes be a theme to our Christ Church Coffee Mornings in Stamford; this may be a chance to learn to knit, or an opportunity to learn crochet. Alternatively, if you come to our coffee morning before Christmas we will teach you how to make a table decoration that you can take home and use as a centre piece for your Christmas table. We’ve also had stalls selling cards and jewellery as well as first aid demonstrations.
Our coffee mornings are not run as fundraising events and there is no charge for attending, but if you would like to make a donation a box will be available, and we would be grateful. We invite the community to drop in or stay all morning. There are always toys and a place for children to play too.
If whilst you are with us you wanted someone to talk to please do let us know. Members of the team are around at coffee mornings and are happy to talk and listen. We love to hear of new ways in which we can serve our community more and sometimes it’s in the informal conversations that God really speaks to us.
Christ Church is a place to belong and we hope that you might find that our Coffee Morning becomes your place to belong too.
