Christ Church Toddlers Group
The Toddlers Group meets every Thursday morning in term time from 9.30am to 11.00am. A core group of about 20-25 Mums, Dads and Carers come each week, and the children enjoy free play, craft activity, singing and story time. There is always a lot of laughter and it is a joy to see the children make new friendships. Parents and Carers are able to chat to one another and enjoy the opportunity to engage with their children.
We have enjoyed a couple of special events over the course of the year. Last summer we took 20 families, by coach, to Wickstead Park on the annual trip. At Christmas we held our Toddlers Christingle in the Church for the first time. The children were taught about each part of the Christingle and the parents helped their children assemble their own. Each family was given the Christmas story to take home and a Christmas tree decoration. Father Christmas made a guest appearance at the party afterwards.
We are now looking forward to an Easter service on March 21st, with an egg hunt. The families will be given a copy of the Easter story to take home.
The Toddlers Group will then stop over the Easter break and resume on April 18th.
