Kings Cafe

King’s Café – a service for young children and their families

King’s Café offers a friendly environment where people feel cared for. It gives an opportunity to learn about the Christian gospel in a lively and non-threatening way.
King’s Café is fun and exciting with:

  • craft activities
  • live music
  • free drinks & doughnuts!
  • Kings Café is held in a relaxed and informal café setting located in a number of churches and local Primary schools [www.kingscafe.co.uk].

King’s Café is returning to its roots some ten years after being started as a joint partnership between St George’s and Christ Church to reach out into local primary schools. With a new formal partnership between Christ Church and St George’s which started in January 2011, the two King’s Café teams from both churches are joining forces to concentrate the King’s Café concept at Christ Church.

King’s Café will meet on the first Sunday of each month at 11:30am in Christ Church.

The King’s Café teams will support the re-establishment of a Sunday Children’s ministry at the main 10am service on the second, fourth and fifth Sundays of the month at Christ Church.

The third Sunday in the month will involve the King’s Café team helping to lead a King’s Praise all age service at the regular 10am service.

Families and children from the Bluecoat School come along.  This is always preceded by an Assembly for the whole school which the Rev Peter Hart takes on the Thursday morning prior to the café.
